California Travel 2021 (8) - California Northen Coast

Changde Wu    2022-03-05

California Northen Coast is more or less covered by Redwood State and National Park. This is a strange park in that it is basically severals state parks with the help from national park service. Your National Park pass will not work here, instead the visitors pay the fee at each site. The parks features rugged coastal topolography and big tall trees. These big trees are of red wood although Sequoia trees in Serra Neveda are a subspecics of it. The tallest tree in the world is in this area but the precise location is not revealed to public.

Besides these states parks, there are three living drive-through trees in the area. We visited all of them during this trip.
